Scientists probe blood cell protein for clues to heart disease
NCT ID NCT07364058
Summary
This study aims to understand how a specific protein found in blood platelets might be involved in the inflammation that causes artery plaque buildup. Researchers will analyze plaque tissue removed from 200 patients during standard artery-clearing surgery. The goal is to gather basic knowledge about this protein's role, which could inform future research into heart disease and stroke.
