Plasma power: new gas treatment aims to heal stubborn diabetic wounds

NCT ID NCT07198061

Summary

This study is testing if a special cold plasma gas can help heal diabetic foot sores that are hard to treat, even after surgery to open blocked leg arteries. Researchers will compare the real plasma treatment to a fake (placebo) treatment, given daily for 10 days, to see if it makes wounds shrink faster and is safe. The goal is to find a new add-on therapy to help manage these serious wounds.
