Cold plasma zaps mouth ulcers in healing trial

NCT ID NCT07322666

Summary

This small pilot study tested whether a device that emits a special cold plasma could help heal painful mouth ulcers faster. Researchers compared the plasma treatment to a standard low-level laser therapy and a placebo in 50 adults with recurrent ulcers. The main goals were to see if the study design worked for future research and to get early signs of whether the plasma reduced healing time and pain better than the other options.
