Hospital tests green solution to toxic lab chemical

NCT ID NCT07264504

Summary

This study is testing whether placing specific plants in hospital laboratory rooms can reduce staff exposure to formaldehyde, a toxic chemical used to preserve tissue samples. Researchers will measure formaldehyde levels in the air and in workers' urine before and after installing 15 plants in two high-exposure rooms. The goal is to find a natural way to protect healthcare workers from this hazardous substance they encounter daily.
