Plant protein challenge: can it match animal protein for Tube-Fed patients?
NCT ID NCT07422935
Summary
This study aims to see if a new plant-based protein formula works as well as the standard animal-based formula for adults who receive nutrition through a feeding tube at home. About 110 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the plant-based or animal-based formula for 3 months, with follow-up checks at 6 and 12 months. Researchers will compare stomach comfort, nutrition levels, body measurements, and physical strength between the two groups.
