First seen Feb 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether it's possible to run a larger trial comparing plant-based and animal-based nutritional drinks for hospital patients at risk of malnutrition. About 60 adults from two Dutch hospitals will be randomly assigned to receive either a soy-based or milk-based drink for three months. The main goal is to see how many patients join, stay, and follow the drink plan, along with checking if the study measurements work well.
