Can a Plant-Based diet help feed failing kidneys?
NCT ID NCT07157397
Summary
This study is testing whether a diet focused on plant foods can improve nutrition and health in malnourished adults who are on peritoneal dialysis for kidney failure. Researchers will compare the plant-focused diet to the standard kidney diet over 6 months to see which is better at improving dietary intake, body measurements, and lab results. The goal is to find safer, more effective dietary advice to help improve quality of life for these patients.
