First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This 12-week study looks at whether a plant-based protein pudding is acceptable and helpful for adults aged 60 and older who regularly visit a medically supervised fitness facility. Forty participants will either eat one pudding daily or continue their normal diet. Researchers will measure how well the pudding is tolerated, and check muscle function, body composition, and blood markers.

plant-based protein pudding
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that a simple dietary supplement helps older adults maintain muscle strength and overall health.
What could go wrong
This is a small feasibility study (40 people) focused on acceptance, not proof of effectiveness. Results may not apply to all older adults.
