Can plants be a better source of iron? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT07143890
Summary
This study aims to understand how well women with low iron levels absorb iron from two plant-based sources—iron from chlorophyll and soy—compared to common iron supplements. Researchers will give 45 participants small, specially labeled doses of these iron sources in water and a simple porridge. They will then measure how much iron from each source ends up in the participants' blood to see which one is absorbed best.
