Can your diet stop a blood cancer before it starts?
NCT ID NCT07069751
Summary
This study is testing whether following a high-fiber, plant-based diet for 12 weeks can change the gut bacteria in people with smoldering multiple myeloma, a condition that can turn into active cancer. Researchers hope these dietary changes might help prevent the disease from progressing. The study will involve 62 participants who will choose from different plant-based meal plans and provide stool and blood samples to measure changes.
