New ultrasound technique could spot hidden clues to pregnancy dangers
NCT ID NCT07422181
First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special ultrasound with contrast dye can clearly show tiny blood vessels (spiral arteries) in the womb right after a baby is delivered. Only 5 women who have given birth at full term will take part. If successful, this method could help doctors find problems with these vessels earlier in pregnancy, potentially preventing serious conditions like pre-eclampsia.
