Scientists scan placentas to uncover hidden dangers of diabetes in pregnancy
NCT ID NCT06992245
Summary
This study aims to understand how uncontrolled diabetes affects the placenta during pregnancy. Researchers will use a special type of MRI scan to measure blood flow and oxygen levels in the placentas of 40 women—some with diabetes and some without. The goal is to see if these scans can detect early signs of problems that might risk the baby's health.
