NCT ID NCT06117527
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study explores whether a fresh human placenta can be used as a realistic, low-cost training tool for neurosurgeons learning to repair brain aneurysms. Researchers will enroll 50 participants to practice microsurgery on placental vessels, which closely resemble brain blood vessels. The goal is to improve surgical skills without relying on animal models or expensive computer simulators.
