Placenta patch may speed healing of stubborn leg sores
NCT ID NCT07230340
First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special dehydrated human placenta tissue (dHPT) product, used alongside standard wound care, can help close nonhealing venous leg ulcers faster than standard care alone. About 70 adults with leg ulcers that haven't healed after 4 weeks of standard treatment will take part. The main goal is to see if more ulcers close completely with the added placenta tissue.
