New PKU formula aims for smoother blood control
NCT ID NCT05827536
Summary
This study tested if a new prolonged-release amino acid formula (PKU GOLIKE) could provide steadier control of blood phenylalanine (Phe) levels compared to standard care in people with PKU. Twenty-one adults with PKU tried both treatments at home for short periods in a crossover design. The main goal was to see if the new formula reduced daily ups and downs in blood Phe levels.
