Spray-On chemo tested in fight against advanced stomach cancer

NCT ID NCT05644249

Summary

This study tested whether a new, targeted chemotherapy method could help control stomach cancer that has spread to the abdominal lining. Doctors combined standard chemotherapy with a newer technique called PIPAC, which sprays chemotherapy as a mist directly into the abdomen. The goal was to see if this two-part approach was feasible and could help shrink tumors for patients with this difficult-to-treat condition.
