Aerosol chemo trial aims to extend life for inoperable cancer patients

NCT ID NCT03875144

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a new pressurized aerosol chemotherapy (PIPAC) directly into the abdomen, along with standard intravenous chemotherapy, works better than standard IV chemo alone for people with advanced peritoneal mesothelioma who cannot have surgery. The main goal is to see if this combination helps patients live longer. The trial is currently suspended and was planned for 66 participants.
