New drug trial aims to shrink painful joint tumors

NCT ID NCT07499362

Summary

This study is testing an oral drug called pimicotinib in Japanese patients with a rare, non-cancerous joint tumor called tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT). The main goals are to see how well the drug is tolerated, how it moves through the body, and whether it can shrink the tumors and improve pain and stiffness. The study will enroll about 20 participants whose tumors cannot be safely removed by surgery.
