Study aims to find less painful surgery for 'Jeep Seat' disease

NCT ID NCT01241136

Summary

This study aimed to compare two ways to surgically treat pilonidal disease, a painful skin condition near the tailbone. It planned to randomly assign patients to either a large, open-wound surgery or a newer, smaller, less invasive procedure. The goal was to see which method had a lower chance of the disease coming back and which led to better patient recovery and satisfaction.
