Surgical rinse showdown: can a simple wash cut healing problems?

NCT ID NCT07321704

Summary

This study aims to see if rinsing a surgical wound with an antiseptic solution (Irrisept) works better than the standard saltwater rinse (normal saline) at preventing infections and other healing problems. It involves 60 adults having a specific flap surgery for chronic pilonidal disease. Researchers will compare how well patients heal and track any complications after using one of the two rinses during their operation.
