Doctors seek to stop surgical wounds from reopening
NCT ID NCT07370714
Summary
This study aims to understand why surgical wounds sometimes reopen after surgery for pilonidal sinus disease. Researchers will observe 250 adult patients undergoing this routine surgery at multiple hospitals. They will track how the wound's distance from the anus, the disease's appearance, and the surgical method used affect healing, to find better ways to prevent wound problems.
