Study checks if pig bone works as well as cow bone for dental implants
NCT ID NCT07182929
Summary
This study looked back at past patients to compare two bone graft materials used during sinus lift surgery for dental implants. It aimed to see if bone from pigs dissolves faster than bone from cows over 6 months, and if both materials still lead to good bone quality for the implant. Researchers analyzed CT scans from 56 patients who received one of the two materials.
