New study checks if PICC lines harm vein walls

This study looks at how a PICC line (a thin tube placed in a vein for long-term medicine) affects the health of the vein wall. Researchers will measure vein thickness before and after the tube is removed in 80 adults who need a PICC. They will also test a special system that helps guide the tube to the right spot. The goal is to make PICC placement safer and understand any changes it causes to veins.
