Summary
This study tested a gel called ingenol mebutate (Picato) on 20 people with a very early form of melanoma on the face who could not or chose not to have surgery. The gel aims to destroy cancer cells by causing inflammation and cell death. The main goal was to see if the cancer completely disappeared two months after one or two rounds of treatment.
