Can physical therapy supercharge your back pain relief?
NCT ID NCT07467421
Summary
This study looked at whether adding a series of physical therapy sessions to a standard steroid injection for sciatica-type back pain leads to better results. 76 adults with persistent leg pain from a herniated disc received the injection; half also got 10 sessions of heat, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation therapy. Researchers compared the two groups to see which had better pain relief, improved function, and lower disability over three months.
