First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study observes physical function in critically ill adults in the intensive care unit (ICU) using a tool called the Chelsea Critical Care Physical Assessment Tool (CPAx). Researchers will measure patients' physical abilities at ICU admission and discharge to see if changes can predict serious outcomes like death or how long a patient needs a breathing machine. The goal is to better understand and forecast recovery in ICU patients.
