Fit seniors move better: study links fitness to balance
NCT ID NCT07429877
First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looked at 153 older adults (65+) to see if being physically fit helps with balance. Participants did simple fitness tests like walking and standing up from a chair, and balance tests like standing on one leg. The results showed that better fitness was linked to better balance during movement, but not when standing still. These findings can help health experts understand balance problems and design fall prevention programs.
