First seen May 15, 2026 ยท Last updated May 15, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether adding walking trails, maps, and a phone-based coaching program could help people living in public housing become more physically active. Over 500 residents from 12 Boston housing developments took part and were assigned to get environmental changes, a phone program, both, or neither. The goal was to see if these supports increased moderate physical activity over two years.
