First seen Jan 23, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study explores whether two types of physical activity – a walking program and supervised karate training – are safe and doable for adults with borderline or avoidant personality disorders. About 60 participants will be randomly assigned to usual care, walking, or karate for 8 weeks. The main goal is to see if a larger future trial is possible, while also checking for changes in mood, symptoms, and physical health.
