NCT ID NCT06731777

First seen May 30, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tested whether a special gel containing PHTALOX® could help treat periodontitis, a serious gum infection. 45 adults with moderate to severe gum disease received standard deep cleaning plus either the PHTALOX® gel, a common antiseptic gel, or a placebo gel. The goal was to see if the new gel could reduce pocket depths and improve gum attachment better than standard care alone.
