NCT ID NCT02153229

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether adding a light-activated drug (photodynamic therapy) during surgery can help people with a rare lung cancer called epithelioid malignant pleural mesothelioma live longer. About 52 adults with cancer limited to one side of the chest will receive either standard surgery plus chemotherapy, or the same with an extra light treatment during surgery. The goal is to see if the combination improves survival.
