Sound waves and gels tested to ease painful muscle knots

NCT ID NCT05925855

Summary

This small study tested whether a treatment called phonophoresis could help people with painful muscle knots in their neck and shoulders. Phonophoresis uses ultrasound waves to help pain-relief gels penetrate the skin. Researchers compared two different gels and a control group to see which was better at reducing pain and improving neck movement.
