Can phone calls help you lose weight and lower cancer risk?

NCT ID NCT04447313

Summary

This study compares two types of phone counseling to help overweight adults lose weight. Over 400 participants received weekly coaching calls for a year, focusing on either a newer therapy that teaches acceptance of cravings or a standard behavioral approach. The goal is to see which method works better for achieving significant, lasting weight loss, which can help reduce the risk of obesity-related cancers.
