Can a simple phone call curb gambling losses?

NCT ID NCT07028450

Summary

This study aims to see if a proactive, encouraging phone call can help people identified as high-risk gamblers change their behavior and reduce their losses. About 195 participants in Norway will be randomly assigned to either receive this supportive call or be in a control group. Researchers will then track their actual gambling activity for six months to see if the call made a difference.
