Finger clip could replace counting breaths
NCT ID NCT07449715
Summary
This study is testing a new feature on a standard finger-clip monitor that automatically calculates breathing rate. Researchers will compare this new reading to a more established method (a small tube under the nose) in 113 adult and child hospital patients. The goal is to see if the finger clip is accurate enough to help nurses and doctors track this important vital sign more easily.
