Are Women's nutrition needs being ignored? study aims to find out
NCT ID NCT07481201
Summary
This study aims to determine how much phenylalanine (an essential amino acid from food) healthy women need during different phases of their menstrual cycle. Current nutrition guidelines are based on research done only in men and may not be accurate for women. Researchers will use a safe, non-invasive method with special diets and breath tests to measure requirements in 15 women aged 20-35.
