Are women getting wrong protein advice? study targets Male-Based guidelines
NCT ID NCT07481201
Summary
This study aims to determine how much phenylalanine, an essential protein building block, women need during different phases of their menstrual cycle. Current nutrition guidelines are based on male studies and may not be appropriate for women. Researchers will use a safe, non-invasive breath test method with 15 healthy women to measure their needs during two menstrual phases.
