Pharmacists prescribe birth control in new convenience study

NCT ID NCT06819787

Summary

This study looked at how well contraceptive services work when pharmacists prescribe birth control directly to patients at local pharmacies. Researchers followed 75 women across five U.S. pharmacies for 12 weeks to see if this approach provided good care, helped women continue their birth control, and improved their overall experience. The study used a special digital platform designed to help pharmacists provide these services safely and efficiently.
