DNA tests for safer meds? study asks moms and sick kids what they think

NCT ID NCT05037305

Summary

This study aims to understand what children with long-term health issues and pregnant women know and think about pharmacogenetic testing, which uses DNA to predict how a person might react to medications. Researchers will survey 500 participants before and after they receive their test results. They will also test if a short educational video can improve understanding and attitudes about this type of testing.
