Quick training may help doctors recognize grief disorder in seniors
NCT ID NCT07487233
First seen Mar 27, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at how well doctors know the signs of prolonged grief disorder (PGD) in older adults, and whether a brief training video can improve their ability to diagnose it. About 198 doctors in geriatrics, psychiatry, and family medicine will answer questions about patient cases before and after watching either a PGD training video or a general bereavement video. The goal is to see if the training helps doctors better identify and help older patients suffering from long-term grief.
