First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study wants to understand why some people with migraine with aura also have a small hole in the heart called PFO. Researchers will compare genes and blood flow in the brain between 240 adults who have migraine with aura—some with PFO, some without. No treatments or drugs are tested; the goal is to gather clues that could guide future prevention or treatment strategies.
