New PET tracer aims to spot hidden prostate cancer

Summary

This study tests a new radioactive imaging agent, [68Ga]DOTA-IR-780-C-4, to see how well it finds prostate cancer and its spread using PET scans. About 5 men with confirmed prostate cancer that has not responded to standard treatments will receive the agent and undergo imaging. The goal is to improve early and accurate detection of tumors, helping doctors make better treatment decisions.
