New imaging test may forecast lung cancer outcomes
NCT ID NCT07316309
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a new type of PET/CT scan can help predict how well patients with limited-stage small cell lung cancer will respond to standard chemotherapy and radiation. Thirty-three newly diagnosed patients had the scan before starting treatment. Researchers then tracked their cancer progression over time to see if the scan results could forecast outcomes.
