Summary

This study tests whether using PET/CT scans to guide the placement of radioactive seeds into solid tumors leads to better tumor control than the standard CT-guided method. About 90 adults with various malignant tumors will be assigned to one of three groups: standard CT guidance, PET/CT guidance with standard radiation dose, or PET/CT guidance with a dose tailored to the tumor's biology. The main goals are to see if the PET/CT approach improves radiation coverage and reduces tumor growth at 6 months.
