First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looked at how flat feet (pes planus) change the thickness and flexibility of the plantar fascia and Achilles tendon. Researchers compared 93 adults aged 18-45 with flat feet to healthy volunteers using ultrasound and other tests. The goal was to better understand these tissue changes, not to provide treatment.
