Summary

This study looks at whether a booster vaccine for whooping cough (pertussis) can prevent the bacteria from growing in the nose of healthy adults. About 99 volunteers will get either a pertussis booster or a control shot, then be exposed to the bacteria in a controlled setting. Researchers will track who gets colonized and how their bodies respond over 28 days.
