Scientists test how childhood vaccine schedules affect Long-Term protection

NCT ID NCT04300192

Summary

This study looked at how children's immune systems respond to a booster shot for whooping cough, tetanus, diphtheria, and polio. Researchers compared kids who received different types of whooping cough vaccines as babies to see if the early vaccine choice affects long-term protection. The study involved 273 children in South Africa and measured antibody levels and immune cell responses after the booster vaccination.
