NCT ID NCT07330271

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study is for adults with malignant peritoneal mesothelioma (MPM), a rare cancer in the lining of the abdomen. After surgery, doctors usually give standard chemotherapy, but it's hard to know which drug will work best. This trial tests a new approach: growing a mini tumor model from the patient's own cancer in the lab, testing different drugs on it, and then giving the patient the drug that works best on their model. About 347 participants will be randomly assigned to either standard chemotherapy or this personalized treatment. The goal is to see if the personalized approach helps people live longer without their cancer getting worse.
