First seen Jan 25, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tested whether custom mouthguards (splints) designed using a 3D jaw-tracking device called MODJAW work better than standard ones for people with teeth grinding or jaw pain. Forty adults with mild-to-moderate bruxism used either a personalized or standard splint for 8 weeks. Researchers measured jaw movement, pain levels, and comfort to see if the custom approach improves outcomes.
