Doctors test Tumor-Guided Pre-Surgery plan to boost esophageal cancer cure rates

NCT ID NCT06601309

Summary

This study is testing a personalized approach to pre-surgery treatment for locally advanced esophageal cancer. It aims to see if choosing a patient's pre-surgery therapy based on a specific tumor biomarker (called CPS score) can help more patients achieve a complete response, where no cancer is found after surgery. The goal is to improve long-term control of the disease and reduce the chance of it coming back.
